A pair of Gainesville Lady Leopard softball players have been honored for their work in the classroom and on the field.

Seniors Shelby Brewer and Taylor Murphy were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Academic All-State team.

Brewer finished her senior year with a grade average of 105, while Murphy had a 94.
