Boys Cross Country - Sat, Sep. 17, 2011

The Gainesville High School boys cross country team had two runners medal at the Ken Garland Invitational hosted by Justin Northwest High School and held at the University of North Texas in Denton Saturday.

Giobanni Carranza and Everardo Puente both brought home medals from the race. Carranza finished 8th with a time of 18:10, while Puente was 12th with a time of 18:24.

Also for Gainesville, Cale Kennedy was 41st (19:40), Richard Beam was 54th (19:57), Link Ferch was 62nd (20:12), Ervin Beam was 73rd (20:38) and Hunter Goldsworthy was 84th (21:10).

The GHS varsity finished sixth overall in the team standings.

In the junior varsity boys race, Michael Sanchez was 59th (21:28), Jacob Goldsworthy was 96th (22:09), Bradley Tuscana was 103rd (22:23), Charlie Kirk was 108th (22:31), Mitchell Case was 111th (22:35), Ismael Castenda was 134th (23:13), Terry Hall was 145th (23:29), Richardo Mendez was 201st (26:40) and Keeton Kiser was 222nd (37:05).
