
The Gainesville Lady Leopards doubled up the Valley View Lady Eagles Tuesday, winning 24-12 in a game that was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.
In their last two home games, the Lady Leopards have scored a combined 44 runs.
Gainesville scored four runs in the first inning, then added eight runs in the second, five in the third and seven more in the fourth. They outhit Valley View 14-4.
The two teams combined for 24 walks.

At the plate, Taylor Llano had an inside-the-park home run, Kaitlyn Romans tripled, and Llano and Haley Schumacher both doubled.
Gerken finished with 6 RBIs, Llano added 4, Schumacher, Karly Rhodes and Payton Cassidy each added 2, and Bari Hancock, Brittany Royal and Samantha Calhoun added had one.
