
The Gainesville Lady Leopards softball team slugged their way to a 20-10 win over Paradise Tuesday night.
The two teams combined for 30 runs and 27 hits.
Gainesville scored 10 runs in the second inning to go ahead 12-1. The big hit was a three-run homer by Brittany Royal.
But Paradise rallied with three runs in the third inning and six more in the top of the fifth to make it 12-10.
The Leopards put the game away in the bottom of the fifth by scoring eight runs to force the 10-after-5 mercy rule.
In addition to Royal's home run, Taylor Llano and Samantha Calhoun both doubled and Haley Schumacher finished with 3 RBIs.
