Senior Gio Carranza's hat trick lifted the Gainesville Leopards boys soccer team to a 3-1 win over Saginaw Boswell Tuesday night.

One of his goals came on a long-range shot from just outside the 18. Another was on a through ball from Juan Hernandez and the other came on a breakaway where he took it from midfield by himself.

The Gainesville junior varsity also defeated Boswell 2-0 with goals from Charles Kirl and Fernando Vasquez.
