The Gainesville Leopards completely dominated the Aubrey Chaparrals Friday night, winning the District 9-3A contest 66-29 at the GHS gym.

Gainesville is now 17-7 overall and 2-1 in district play.

The Leopards outscored the Chaps 20-4 in the opening period and had a 40-14 lead at halftime.

David Moore led GHS with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. DJ Harris added 14 points and 13 rebounds, Jonathan Mendez had 8 points and 5 steals, Denzel Johnson had 8 points, Demetrius Franklin scored 5, Tyler Thomas had 8 rebounds and Chance Sikes had 3 steals.

The Gainesville JV defeated Aubrey 35-23.
