Denzel Johnson was named first team at quarterback

The 9-3A All-District team has been announced after a vote of the district's six coaches.

A pair of Gainesville Leopards received first team honors on offense.

Junior Denzel Johnson was a first team pick at quarterback, while sophomore Adam Berryman was named first team at running back.

Junior David Moore was a second team pick at receiver. On defense, junior Chris White was second team at linebacker and sophomore Jonathan Mendez was second team at defensive back.

Jordan Hall was an honorable mention selection at offensive line, while DJ Harris made honorable mention at defensive back.

Argyle dominated the All-District team after advancing all the way to the Class 3A Division II state championship game.

Quarterbacks Austin Aune of Argyle and Dane Evans of Sanger shared the District MVP. Sanger's Brock Squier and Whitesboro's Jordan Gill were both named Offensive Player of the Year, while Argyle's Carson Bossow was the Defensive Player of the Year.
